Choir and wind band
In 2016 I finally realized a dream I started to have many years ago: organize a collaboration between the concert band where I started to play many years ago and some choirs. In fact, choral music is the best, in my opinion, because it join voices and instruments. But it is just a my opinion of course.
However, after i got the ok to work on the project from the staff of the band, I started to contact choirs around our area. I admit I was very lucky, I didn't need to contact a lot of them, because after few emails sent, a couple of choir answered they were interested to join us in this project.
It is also tru I was looking for 3 choirs, to balance better the voices with the sound of instruments, but it was possible to find just 2 ensembles. At the end we had about 60 persons in the choirs and 35 persons in the band.
I list the name of associations envolved:
Gruppo Bandistico "Tita Michelas" - Fiumicello (UD) - Italy
Corale San Marco (Udine) - Italy
Coro di Castions delle Mura (UD)

At the end we had 4 concerts, it was a very nice experience

Hymn to the Fallen, a celebration of all people died during the First World War

To celebrate the anniversary of the end of First World War and to satisfy my desire to play in a concert with wind band and choirs, I wanted to try to organize something of interesting and to involve also some musicians from Austrian. It was a symbolic collaboration: during the war Italians and Austrians killed each others, now they paly and sing together. I understand this project was really ambitious, if we think that economic resourses for amateurs associations are not very much, especially here in Italy. After about 6 months and had asked to a lot of Austrian choirs, finally this choir accepted: https://www.unichor-graz.com/ Under construction
